A security starter kit designed for the initial integration of Homematic IP smart home with an emphasis on building protection. The kit contains the basic security features and opens the door to the world of the professional Homematic IP product range, which represents a complete revolution in the Smart Home, bringing uncompromising German quality and 80 years of tradition.
Comprehensive solutions with broad modularity including a portfolio of more than 250 original products for intelligent optimization, automation, control and security of buildings.
The set includes a Central Unit(HmIP-HAP), PIR motion detector with brightness sensor(HmIP-SMI), Window and door sensor – optical(HmIP-SWDO), indoor alarm siren(HmIP-ASIR-2) and a free mobile app in CZ localization available for Android and iOS.

The Homematic IP security solution reliably protects various types of buildings such as houses, apartments, cottages, offices, garages, shops, warehouses or offices from burglary, fire or water flooding.

The set includes 4 basic devices for building security and detection of potential threats with the possibility of modular expansion and purchase of additional system components such as fire detectors, keypads, flood sensors, remote controls, switched sockets, etc.
Central unit (HmIP-HAP)
It works as an access point and offers convenient setup and control of the complex Homematic IP security and smart home system via an Ethernet connection to a standard router and via an intuitive app (for Android and iOS in CZ localization) designed for smartphones. The mobile app enables instant response to messages and alerts from your smart home system and connects all devices Homematic IP via free, unlimited cloud, which allows you to set up and control the system from anywhere in the world, transfer important information and update the software and firmware of the device, and pass configuration and operational commands from the Homematic IP app to individual smart home devices.
Of course, voice control via the home assistant is also available (communication with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa supported).
System capacity
Up to 15 users, 80 system components, video cameras and countless scenarios can be connected to the Central Unit (HmIP-HAP). By connecting an additional Central Unit (HmIP-HAP), the system can be expanded by up to 40 additional system components (maximum 120 components and 2 Central Units per installation).
Wireless PIR motion detector with brightness sensor (HmIP-SMI)
The small, compact detector can be used as a motion alarm sensor or for automated switching of lights depending on ambient brightness and connects to other Homematic IP products via the free Homematic IP mobile app. The detector is designed for indoor use, has a range of up to 12 meters and a detection angle of about 105°.
Wireless Window and Door Sensor - Optical (HmIP-SWDO)
Sensor for reliable protection of all types of windows and doors by means of innovative optical technology based on the infrared light barrier principle with a replacement front cover in brown to match the appearance of the window or door frame.
Wireless Alarm Siren (HmIP-ASIR-2)
Designed for indoor use with a powerful 90 dB acoustic tone generator and a pair of high-brightness red LEDs.
Smart mobile app Homematic IP
Once the Central Unit (HmIP-HAP) is connected to the internet, all functions can be used via the free Homematic IP app for smart devices available for Android and iOS. The intuitive application in Czech localization is regularly updated and extended with additional functions and devices, offering a clear overview of all possible functions and scenarios. The Homematic IP mobile app allows control of several Central Units (HmIP-HAP) in different installations (e.g. for holiday homes, apartment rentals, etc.).
Smart home voice control
A large number of Homematic IP devices and system functions offer convenient voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
Communication and security
The central unit (HmIP-HAP) is connected to a standard router via an Ethernet cable (RJ-45) and serves as an interface between the Homematic IP cloud located exclusively on servers in Germany and the Homematic IP devices in your home.
For secure, stable and reliable communication, the system has its own unique radio technology at the operating frequency of 868.0 – 869.525 MHz with fully encrypted AES-128 communication. Operation on this frequency limits wireless transmission to 1% of the time per hour, thus ensuring long battery life of connected devices and users are not exposed to continuous wireless radiation. In addition, the central unit (HmIP-HAP) reliably detects radio interference.
The security of the wireless IP protocol has been tested by the independent testing laboratory Techniker-Verband VDE in Germany and the testing institute AV-TEST.
The Homematic IP wireless technology allows communication with components up to 400 m in the open or over several floors of a high-rise building, enabling reliable connection of devices even in remote locations. And if it is necessary to increase the range, it is sufficient to add a Switching socket (HmIP-PSM-PE) locally, which also acts as a signal repeater or another Central Unit (HmIP-HAP).
Privacy Protection
No personal data is collected during activation or operation, so users remain completely anonymous, even though the system is cloud-based.
