The wireless smoke detector (HmIP-SWSD) certified according to EN 14604 is part of the Homematic IP smart home system and reliably detects the development of smoke gases in the air of the monitored area using a photoelectric scattered light sensor. Unlike most other conventional fire detectors, the Smoke Detector (HmIP-SWSD) from the Homematic IP series has numerous innovative features.
Use
Fire detectors are an essential element of fire protection in any building. The smoke detector (HmIP-SWSD) reacts to the presence of smoke and in the event of an alarm activates the built-in 85 dB siren, emergency lighting and sends an alarm signal to the Central Unit (HmIP-HAP). The user will then receive information about the alarm event via push notifications via the Homematic IP mobile app on the smartphone.
High performance lenses
The smoke detector (HmIP-SWSD) uses modern photoelectric (optical) sensing technology and is independently tested to meet all European standards. Of course there is both CE certificate and approval according to ČSN, EN 14604:2006 and CPD. Designed for installation in new buildings according to Decree 23/2008 Coll. Decree on technical conditions of fire protection of buildings (as amended by No. 268/2011 Coll.).
Alarm functions
All fire detectors operating in one Homematic IP system are wirelessly interconnected. Up to 40 Smoke Detectors ( HmIP-SWSD)can be connected to the Central Unit (HmIP-HAP) inone system .
If, for example, a fire is detected in the basement, the fire alarm is triggered not only by the fire detector installed locally at the place of the fire, but also by other fire detectors in the Homematic IP system installed on other floors and rooms of the building.
Brightness sensor
It includes not only an acoustic warning with a built-in 85 dB siren and a visual red LED indication of the alarm signaling, but also the activation of a powerful white LED emergency light to illuminate the escape route in heavily smoked areas for early exit from the building.
Protection in case of sabotage
The detector is equipped with a large multi-function button, which is primarily used for regular testing of the detector’s operability and system functions, but can also be used to silence the acoustic signaling of an unwanted alarm.
Power supply
Two permanently integrated (non-removable) lithium batteries allow the detector to be powered with virtually maintenance-free operation for up to 10 years.
System operation
The wireless connection of the Smoke Detector (HmIP-SWSD) to the Central Unit (HmIP-HAP) offers convenient setup and control of the comprehensive Homematic IP smart home system using an intuitive app (for Android and iOS in CZ) designed for smartphones. The mobile app enables instant response to messages and alerts from your smart home system and connects all Homematic IP devices via a free, unlimited cloud that allows you to set up and proceedings system from anywhere in the world, transferring important information and updating the software and firmware of the device, transmitting configuration and operational commands from the Homematic IP app towards the individual smart home devices.
Protection in case of sabotage
For secure, stable and reliable communication, the system has its own unique radio technology on the operating frequency of 868.0 – 869.525 MHz with fully encrypted AES-128 communication. Operation on this frequency limits wireless transmission to 1% of the time per hour, thus ensuring long battery life of connected devices and users are not exposed to continuous wireless radiation. In addition, the central unit (HmIP-HAP) reliably detects radio interference.
The security of the wireless IP protocol has been tested by the independent testing laboratory Techniker-Verband VDE in Germany and the testing institute AV-TEST.
The Homematic IP wireless technology allows communication with components up to 400 m in the open or over several floors of a high-rise building, enabling reliable connection of devices even in remote locations. And if it is necessary to increase the range, it is sufficient to add a Switched Socket (HMIP-PSM-PE) locally, which also functions as a signal repeater, or an additional Central Unit (HmIP-HAP).

Voice control
