Using the wall-mounted remote control
The wall-mounted remote control (HmIP-WRC2) offers flexible installation options and a wide range of modularity in a classic design that can handle several tasks simultaneously. At the touch of one of two buttons, the controller provides a wide range of solutions from simple commands to complex smart home control scenarios. Thanks to battery operation, the button can be unobtrusively placed or installed in the desired location.
Voice control
The Homematic IP smart home system, of which the Wall Remote Controls (HmIP-WRCx) are part, supports voice control and communication with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. For safe, stable and reliable communication, the system has its own unique radio technology between the devices.
Remote control functions
The Intelligent Wall Remote (HmIP-WRC2) provides two channels that can distinguish between long and short button presses. This makes it possible, for example, to switch lights on or off or to activate or deactivate the ECO heating mode.
The individual buttons can be customised to your individual needs via the Homematic IP mobile app. Depending on the assigned program, each button can control multiple devices and functions of the Homematic IP smart home. Each button can be independently configured and thus conveniently control already connected (programmed) devices.
System operation
The connection of the Wall Remote Controller (HmIP-WRC2) with the Central Unit (HmIP-HAP) offers convenient setup and control of the comprehensive Homematic IP smart home system via an intuitive app (for Android and iOS in CZ) designed for smartphones.
The mobile app allows for immediate response responds to messages and alerts from your smart home system and connects all Homematic IP devices via a free, unlimited cloud that allows you to set up and control the system from anywhere in the world, transfer important information and update device software and firmware, and pass configuration and operational commands from the Homematic IP app to individual devices smart home.

Power supply
Power is provided by two AAA pencil batteries with an extremely long life of up to 4 years.
The controller can be integrated into the 55 mm Battery Stand (HmIP-DS55) or operated without batteries in combination with the 55 mm Battery Power Supply (HmIP-BPS-2).
Open design for integration into multiple frame types from third party manufacturers (e.g. Berker, Elso, Gira, Merten, Jung, etc.).
Easy installation
Wireless communication and battery operation offer the possibility of easy installation without the need for wiring. This means that the Wall-mounted Remote Control (HmIP-WRC2) can be installed via a standard flush-mounted box or placed freely anywhere.
