The programmable wireless dimming actuator (HmIP-BDT) for flush mounting, powered from 230 V mains, is part of the Homematic IP smart home system.
The two-position rocker button for manual control of devices or remote control of smart home system functions can be easily replaced by a conventional 230 V button.
The device can be optionally supplemented with the appropriate Homematic IP cradle covers with frame(HmIP-BRU, HmIP-BRA – not included) or, using the appropriate adapter , covers and frames from other manufacturers.
Use
The device can operate as a switch on/off, activator/deactivator or simply as a wall-mounted double button. It offers flexible installation options with wide modularity of use in a classic design that can handle several tasks simultaneously. Allows you to switch on, off and dim the connected light circuits. The connected lights can be controlled manually by the buttons on the cradle cover of the actuator or remotely in combination with the Central Unit (HmIP-HAP) and the Homematic IP mobile app.

High performance lenses
The dimming actuator (HmIP-BDT) has two channels on each of the two buttons of the rocker switch that can distinguish between long and short button presses. This makes it possible, for example, to switch on or off light sources with a short press and dim them with a long press.
The individual buttons can be customised to your individual needs via the Homematic IP mobile app. Depending on the assigned program, each button can control multiple devices or functions of the Homematic IP smart home. Each of the buttons can be independently configured to conveniently control already connected (programmed) devices.
System operation
The connection of the Dimming Actuator (HmIP-BDT) to the Central Unit (HmIP-HAP) offers convenient setup and control of the comprehensive Homematic IP smart home system using an intuitive app (for Android and iOS in CZ) designed for smartphones. Mobile The Homematic IP app enables instant response to messages and alerts from your smart home system and connects all Homematic IP devices via a free, unlimited cloud, which allows you to set up and control the system from anywhere in the world, transfer important information and update the software and firmware of the devices, and pass configuration and operational commands from the Homematic IP app to the individual smart home devices.

Power supply
The dimming actuator (HmIP-BDT) is mounted in a standard flush-mounted box with 230 V mains connection. Wireless communication offers the possibility of installation without the need for secondary wiring. This means that the actuator can be placed in the location of a prepared or existing 230 V mains supply.
