The programmable wireless Pivot Button (HmIP-WRCR) is part of the Homematic IP smart home system.
It has a rotary ring with push-button function for intuitive control, switching of lights and smooth dimming of lighting or remote control of smart home system functions. The device can control lighting, blinds, shutters, garage doors, etc.
Using the rotary button
The wall-mounted rotary pushbutton (HmIP-WRCR) offers flexible installation options and wide modularity of use in a classic design that handles several tasks simultaneously.
The flexible rotary ring allows not only a smooth change of light intensity, but also manual switching on or off of the light by pressing the rotary ring. At the touch of a button in the ring, the controller provides a diverse range of solutions from simple commands to complex smart home control scenarios.
Thanks to battery operation, the button can be unobtrusively placed or installed in the desired location.
Pivot button function
The Intelligent Remote Pivot Button (HmIP-WRCR) provides two channels that can distinguish between long and short presses. This makes it possible, for example, to switch lights on or off or to activate or deactivate the ECO heating mode.
Both the ring rotation control and the button can be customised to your individual needs via the Homematic IP mobile app. Depending on the assigned program, the Rotary Button (HmIP-WRCR) can control multiple devices and functions of the Homematic IP smart home. The control ring and the button can be independently configured to conveniently control already connected (programmed) devices.
System operation
The connection of the wall-mounted Rotary Button (HmIP-WRCR) with the Central Unit (HmIP-HAP) offers convenient setup and control of the comprehensive Homematic IP smart home system via an intuitive app (for Android and iOS in CZ) designed for smartphones.
The mobile app allows for immediate response responds to messages and alerts from your smart home system and connects all Homematic IP devices via a free, unlimited cloud that allows you to set up and control the system from anywhere in the world, transfer important information and update device software and firmware, and pass configuration and operational commands from the Homematic IP app to individual devices smart homes.

The button can be integrated into the 55 mm Battery Stand (HmIP-DS55) or operated without batteries in combination with the 55 mm Battery Power Supply (HmIP-BPS-2).
Easy installation
Wireless communication and battery operation offer the possibility of easy installation without the need for wiring. This means that the wall-mounted remote can be installed through a standard flush-mounted box or placed freely anywhere.
