The elegant wireless key fob (HmIP-KRCK) from the Homematic IP series allows easy operation of the wireless intelligent door lock drive (HmIP-DLD) at the touch of a button. It is part of the Homematic IP smart home system and an alternative to the Homematic IP app.
The handy little Remote Control (HmIP-KRCK) fits in every pocket and can provide a range of useful functions despite its compact size with four buttons.
Using the remote control
The wireless intelligent door lock actuator (HmIP-DLD) can be individually controlled using buttons for convenient, motor-driven door access control.
The three buttons of the wireless key fob (HmIP-KRCK) with fixed functions can be used to simply unlock, lock or open the door, while the fourth button is freely programmable and can control other Homematic IP smart home devices or activate a user-preconfigured operation (e.g. switching lights on or off).
Remote control functions
Lock button – activates the door lock drive, which locks the door via a servo motor.
Unlock button – activates the door lock drive, which unlocks the door via a servo motor.
Open button – activates the door lock actuator, which moves to the limit position and opens the door.
Programmable button
The programmable button is used to activate and deactivate a pre-programmed function in the Homematic IP application.
It can be used, for example, to light up the outdoor lighting of a building for a greater sense of security when returning home at night.
Remote controller durability
The remote control operates reliably over a wide temperature range (-10 °C to +55 °C).
The fibreglass-reinforced and halogen-free housing makes the remote control particularly durable and stable. It is thus destined to be worn on a key ring.
Even in the hands of children, it can handle any challenging everyday situation.
Power supply
Even with frequent daily use, the HmIP-KRCK remote control can last up to 2 years on a single AAA battery.
