Wireless Outdoor Temperature and Humidity Sensor (HmIP-STHO)
The device can be used both indoors and outdoors as a wireless, compact sensor recording temperatures between -20 °C and +55 °C and relative humidity between 0% and 99%.
The temperature and humidity sensor (HmIP-STHO) provides modular usage options depending on the connection to other Homematic IP products via the free Homematic IP mobile app.
Use

Automation control
Wireless communication and battery operation offer the possibility of variable sensor installation almost anywhere in the outdoor environment. The sensor can be used to control air conditioning, air conditioning or dehumidification, to control and manage low temperatures in greenhouses, conservatories, cold boxes, cellars, for example, and also simultaneously for other automation processes of the smart home system, setting different types of scenarios depending on temperature and humidity conditions.
System operation
The wireless connection of the wall sensor (HmIP-STHO) to the Central Unit (HmIP-HAP) offers convenient setup and control of the comprehensive Homematic IP smart home system using only an intuitive app (for Android and iOS in CZ) designed for smartphones. The mobile app enables instant response to messages and alerts from your smart home system and connects all Homematic IP devices via a free, unlimited cloud that allows you to set up and control the system from anywhere in the world, transfer important information and update the software and firmware of the devices, and forward configuration and operational commands from the Homematic IP app to individual smart home devices.
Alarm functions
All measured values are cyclically transmitted via the Central Unit (HmIP-HAP) to the Homematic IP smart mobile app and thus simultaneously enable remote monitoring and individual control
of the building depending on the current temperature and humidity conditions. Just by looking at the smartphone screen in the app, the user gets real and comprehensive information about the local measured values.
Durability and reliability
The IP44 splash-proof design and operating temperature range between -20 °C and +55 °C ensures reliable operation even in the most demanding conditions.
Power supply
The 2 AA replaceable power supply batteries allow low maintenance operation and ensure extremely long operation of up to 5 years. Once the capacity of the power batteries is reduced to a minimum,
the user is informed by the Homematic IP application .

Thanks to its compact size and battery operation, the Temperature and Humidity Sensor (HmIP-STHO) offers easy installation without the need for wiring.
Of course, mounting material (dowels, screws) is also included in the package.
