Wireless Wall Mounted Temperature and Humidity Sensor with LED Display (HmIP-STHD)
The temperature and humidity sensor (HmIP-STHD) is part of the Homematic IP smart home system, using the Central Unit (HmIP-HAP) to enable precise temperature control in conjunction with one or more Homematic IP radiator thermostatic heads (HmIP-eTRV) or actuators (HmIP-FAL).
The user can freely choose whether the integrated display should show the temperature setpoint or the measured temperature (5 to 35 °C) or humidity (1 to 99%), or both alternately.
System operation
The wireless connection of the wall sensor (HmIP-STHD) to the Central Unit (HmIP-HAP) offers convenient setup and control of the comprehensive Homematic IP smart home system using only an intuitive app (for Android and iOS in CZ) designed for smartphones. The mobile app enables instant response to messages and alerts from your smart home system and connects all Homematic IP devices via a free, unlimited cloud, which enables system setup and control from anywhere in the world, transferring important information and updating the software and firmware of the devices, and transmitting configuration and operational commands from the Homematic IP application to the individual devices smart homes.
Alarm functions
Measured values are cyclically transmitted via the Central Unit (HmIP-HAP) to the Homematic IP smart mobile app and thus simultaneously enable remote monitoring and individual room climate control . Just by looking at the smartphone screen in the app, the user gets real information not only about the temperature, but also about the current humidity in the room, even when he is outside the monitored object (for example, when travelling).
Thanks to the integrated sensor, it allows, among other things, to evaluate the humidity level in the room and thus effectively control the air conditioning or ventilation.

The device is a preferred feature especially for installations in rooms where manual room temperature control is undesirable, helping to control the room temperature and heating process in rooms according to individual needs, resulting in immediate savings and a reduction in energy costs of up to 30%.
Alarm functions
The system becomes truly sophisticated when combining the thermostatic head (HmIP-eTRV), window and door sensor (HmIP-SWDx) and the Central Unit (HmIP-HAP), where it is possible to take full advantage of all system functionalities including intelligent heating prediction for maximum energy savings. In the mobile app (for Android and iOS in CZ), you can set up to several weekly temperature profiles, different daily temperature increase or decrease modes (per day and room) or a variety of advanced scenarios.
Use
When creating profiles and scenarios, you can take into account all your needs for heating automation with regard to energy savings and sensible temperature. You can set the night mode so that you get a good night’s sleep, wake up to a comfortable temperature in the morning and enter a pre-warmed bathroom.

Power supply
Power is provided by two AAA batteries with a lifetime of up to 2 years. The thermostat can be integrated into the 55 mm Battery Stand (HmIP-DS55) or operated without batteries in combination with the 55 mm Battery Power Supply (HmIP-BPS-2).
Easy installation
The PIR motion detector package includes a bracket for fixed wall mounting This means that the Wireless Temperature and Humidity Sensor (HmIP-STHD) can be placed anywhere in the room to measure the room temperature at the desired location. Fixing with mounting material (dowels, screws) or fixing with the supplied adhesive tapes.
The open design allows integration into multiple frame types from third party manufacturers (e.g. Berker, Elso, Gira, Merten, Jung, etc.).
