The programmable, wireless wall-mounted remote control (HmIP-WRC6) is part of the Homematic IP smart home system.
It has six buttons for manual control of devices or remote control of smart home system functions. The device can control lighting, blinds, shutters, garage doors, etc. Can be integrated into the 55 mm Battery Component Stand (HmIP-DS55).
Using the remote control
The wall-mounted remote control (HmIP-WRC6) offers flexible installation options and wide modularity of use in a classic design that can handle several tasks simultaneously. By pressing one of the six buttons, the controller provides a variety of solutions from simple commands to complex smart home control scenarios.
Thanks to battery operation, the controller can be unobtrusively placed or installed in the desired location.
The remote control includes a replaceable label field into which the user can insert function identifications for easy orientation of individual buttons and simplified operation.
Remote control functions
The Intelligent Wall Remote (HmIP-WRC6) provides two channels for each button that can distinguish between long and short presses. This makes it possible, for example, to switch lights on or off or to activate or deactivate the ECO heating mode.
The individual buttons can be customised to your individual needs via the Homematic IP mobile app.
Depending on the assigned program, each button can control multiple devices and functions of the Homematic IP smart home. Each button can be configured independently and thus conveniently control already connected (programmed) devices.
Voice control
The Homematic IP smart home system, of which the Wall Remote Controls (HmIP-WRCx) are part, supports voice control and communication with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. For safe, stable and reliable communication, the system has its own unique radio technology between the devices.

System operation
Connecting the Wall Remote (HmIP-WRC6) to the Central Unit (HmIP-HAP) offers convenient setup and control of the comprehensive Homematic IP smart home system using an intuitive app(for Android and iOS in CZ) designed for smartphones. The mobile app enables instant response to messages and alerts from your smart home system and connects all Homematic IP devices via a free, unlimited cloud, allowing you to set up and control your system from anywhere in the world, transfer important information and update software and firmware, and pass configuration and operational commands from the app Homematic IP towards individual devices smart homes.
Power supply
Power is provided by two AAA pencil batteries with an extremely long life of up to 4 years.
The controller can be integrated into the 55 mm Battery Stand (HmIP-DS55) or operated without batteries in combination with the 55 mm Battery Power Supply (HmIP-BPS-2).
Open design for integration into multiple frame types from third party manufacturers (e.g. Berker, Elso, Gira, Merten, Jung, etc.).
Easy installation
Wireless communication and battery operation offer the possibility of easy installation without the need for wiring. This means that the Wall-mounted Remote Control (HmIP-WRC6) can be installed via a standard flush-mounted box or placed freely anywhere. Fixing with mounting material (dowels, screws) or fixing with the supplied adhesive strips.
