One such device is the wireless Wall Thermostat with Humidity Sensor (HmIP-WTH-1) from the Homematic IP series with a 1.74″ backlit LED display for temperature and humidity, representing an intelligent way to regulate heating and save energy.
The programmable thermostat with humidity sensor is part of the Homematic IP smart home system, allowing time-controlled temperature control and control of several thermostatic radiator heads (HmIP-eTRV) from the Homematic IP series in one room.
Use of a motion detector
This function can be used if the room temperature needs to be raised quickly. A short press of the ring control button will activate Boost mode. All selected thermostatic heads will be opened to 80% for 300 seconds, thus heating the room faster.
The wall thermostat display will show a countdown while the Boost mode is active until the mode is exited.
High performance lenses
With its compact dimensions, the Wall Thermostat (HmIP-WTH-1) is comparable in size to a light switch. The device can be intuitively operated via a rotary ring that also acts as a button. The temperature can be precisely set in 0.5 °C increments, which is then automatically transmitted to the Central Unit (HmIP-HAP).

The Homematic IP wall thermostats replace conventional wall thermostats, controlling the room temperature and heating process according to individual needs, resulting in immediate savings and a reduction in energy costs of up to 30%.
The system becomes truly sophisticated when combining the thermostatic head (HmIP-eTRV), window and door sensor (HmIP-SWDx) and the Central Unit (HmIP-HAP), where it is possible to take full advantage of all system functionalities including intelligent heating prediction for maximum energy savings. In the mobile app (for Android and iOS in CZ), you can set up to several weekly temperature profiles, different daily temperature increase or decrease modes (per day and room) or a variety of advanced scenarios.
Brightness sensor
When creating profiles and scenarios, you can take into account all your needs for heating automation with regard to energy savings and sensible temperature. You can set the night mode so that you get a good night’s sleep, wake up to a comfortable temperature in the morning and enter a pre-warmed bathroom.

Voice control
The Homematic IP smart home system, of which the wall thermostats are part, supports voice control and communication with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.

Power supply
Power is provided by two AAA batteries with a lifetime of up to 2 years. The thermostat can be integrated into the 55 mm Battery Stand (HmIP-DS55) or operated without batteries in combination with the 55 mm Battery Power Supply (HmIP-BPS-2) for flush mounting.
Open design for integration into multiple frame types from third party manufacturers (e.g. Berker, Elso, Gira, Merten, Jung, etc.).
Easy installation
Wireless communication and battery operation offer the possibility of easy installation without the need for wiring. This means that the thermostat can be placed anywhere in the room to measure the room temperature at the desired location. Fixing with mounting material (dowels, screws) or fixing with the supplied adhesive strips.
