The multifunctional wireless remote control (HmIP-RC8) with 8 configurable buttons is part of the Homematic IP smart home system. The remote control allows easy control of pre-programmed operations and is an alternative to the Homematic IP application.

Frequently used devices or smart home functions of the Homematic IP can be controlled at the touch of a button, providing a diverse range of solutions from simple commands to complex smart home control scenarios.
The remote control (HmIP-RC8) is equipped with a status LED indicator, which also indicates the successful or unsuccessful execution of the command.
Remote control functions
Each of the eight buttons can be customised to your individual needs via the Homematic IP mobile app. Depending on the assigned program, each button can control multiple devices and functions of the Homematic IP smart home.

Operation with 8 buttons
Each button can be independently configured independently of the others and thus conveniently control already connected (programmed) devices.
In addition to basic operations such as switching or dimming the luminaires, you can activate several functions at the same time by pressing one button in the form of a pre-programmed scenario. For example, pressing the button will turn on the lamp in the living room, start the TV and home cinema while the ceiling light will dim.
Operation with 4 pairs of buttons
The buttons next to each other can be configured to form a pair. For example, the left button can have the function “Switch on device/Lower light intensity/Run blinds” while the right button can have the function “Switch off device/Increase light intensity/Run blinds”.
Diverse and reliable use
Thanks to its battery power supply and long wireless range (up to 300 m), the Multifunction Remote Control (HmIP-RC8) can be used anywhere in the house.
The interchangeable label field for each button, on the bottom of the controller, provides the necessary overview of the assigned functions or devices.
Power supply
The HmIP-RC8 programmable remote control is powered by two AAA batteries with a lifetime of up to 2 years.
